A listed Canadian property services group seeking M&A advisory services in Japan engaged Crimson Phoenix to identify a local company with which to enter into a strategic and capital relationship. We were able to list a number of potential targets which met the client’s criteria, make confidential approaches to them and take the client through the remainder of the transaction process.
Japanese engineering consulting group / French strategic partner
Crimson Phoenix, working with a London-based sector-specialist advisory firm, brought together its listed client (latest turnover over ¥140 billion) and a leading French firm (€900 million) to form a strategic partnership in transport engineering, mainly in developing Asian markets.
Foreign-owned Japanese company / valuation
Crimson Phoenix, in collaboration with a law firm which acted as mediator, advised European shareholders of a Japanese company (latest turnover ¥1.3 billion) on its valuation as a basis for resolving a dispute between them.
Japanese consortium client / UK target
As a Japan-focused mergers and acquisitions advisory firm Crimson Phoenix were part of a multi-firm team advising a Japanese consortium of investors in bidding for a UK-based international film/TV production group (latest turnvoer £1 billion) which was the subject of a controlled auction.
Japanese publishing client / French joint venture partner
Crimson Phoenix brought together its Japanese client, a publishing group (latest turnover ¥260 billion), with a French peer (€800 million) to form a joint venture in France to combine their anime/manga businesses.
